Know Your PPE Requirements

If PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required in your workplace, then there are several responsibilities of the employer and employee. Every exposed employee is required to undergo training, if the employee is going to use personal protective equipment. Employees must know and understand the following:

• Why training is necessary?
• How training will protect them?
• The limitations of PPE?
• When and how to wear PPE?
• How to identify signs of wear for PPE?
• How to clean and disinfect PPE?
• How to dispose off PPE after it is no longer useful?
