Staying Focused on Safety

In 2010, safety budgets are going to be tight. This article from the Associated Press gives some advice on keeping safety programs a priority during lean times and explains some benefits to maintaining a safety focus.

Some benefits of safety training include reduced accidents and increased employee retention. Visible safety programs can make your company look good to prospective customers. Also, a safer company will get better insurance premiums, lowering overhead.  All of these benefits are results of a safety focused company not letting up in a tough economy.
