Why You Need an AED

Sudden cardiac arrest kills 365,000 people a year in the US alone, which equates to one person dying every two minutes.  This is more yearly deaths than breast cancer, lung cancer and AIDS combined.  Studies have shown that waiting for emergency medical responders results in a 5-7% survival rate.  Personally, I don’t like those odds!

Defibrillators improve survival rates by up to 12 times with a 60% survival rate after one year of the heart attack.  With those statistics, I just cannot imagine any company not having one at their facility (click here for more details on the data I am discussing).
